My girlfriend and I were having issues. I went to see Steve to try and sort it out and ended up staying for 3 years. There was so much I didn’t know about myself and Steve made learning all the more easier. Sometimes it was like wow and sometimes quite uncomfortable. I always thought counselling would be too intense but Steve has a sense of humour that really helped me.

Cathy 39:

Lots about my life just didn’t feel right. Quite quickly we figured stuff out. Steve says that’s because I was keen to learn and change, but I think it’s because he has an amazing empathy and ability to see exactly how I was feeling about stuff. Things I wouldn’t dare talk about before, he made really easy. He’s a very gentle man.

Izzy 19:

I was just coming out as Trans. I was born male and felt overwhelmed and scared. Steve gave me a lot of courage to present how I wanted and helped me find my new voice. He helped separate out those voices that belonged to other people. He never rushed me on our journey. I am now confident in my non binary identity, and now walk head high in all my fabulousness!

Paul & Simon (early forties):

We had been together for a while and our differences were becoming a real problem.  Rather than drift apart we went to see Steve.  He really helped us communicate better and understand why we reacted so much to each other sometimes. There was also a big difference in how much we wanted sex and Steve helped us manage that so much better and actually chill out about it.

Frank 35:

I had a massive panic because sex had become difficult.  I was in a new relationship and was mortified. Not only did Steve calm me down and reassure me massively he helped me through it in a really practical way. I used Viagra to get my confidence back up which was his idea, and then we talked through my worries which were all confidence issues. It was all in a relatively short time too!
